Cats In The House

Assalamualaikum :)

Bubu and the other adolescents months ago.. When they were young.. So tiny and cute!

The adolescents and toddlers. Still cute..

Bubu, no name, no name, no name.... I have few cats at home. Well up to previous week, I had 8 cats. But now the numbers keep on increasing that my family has been really confused, how on earth that we gonna take care of these 13 cats! These are not the cats bought from the pet shop/import cats. The cats just had a pit-stop houses to houses and tag along the house that they love the most! (probably). 13 cute cats- 3 mothers, 4 adolescents, 2 toddlers, 4 infants! Can you imagine how it is like to feed all of them a one time...

My father does not support the idea to allow cats in the house. Thus, we only play with them or bring them food at the yard or anywhere outside of the house. Basically my neighbours and I share these cats as they always move from my neighbours' house and mine (depending on which house offers food then they will run to it). They are all cuties that we could not afford to give them to someone else despite the problems arise (cats poops everywhere, too noisy and get attacked everytime I open the door..) Sigh, I have few times that I had to pick up their poops and throw them away. Thank you dear, you are cute dear cats!

Now.. They are huge, fat and super cute! Only months of difference

Too elegant for a photoshoot dear :P

Somehow, I love to play with em everytime I have nothing to do or when I am stressed. They are playful (only when they are full) and lovely! Love you dear Bubu and geng! Dont miss me next semester :(

Kite Festival '15

Assalamualaikum :)

This is a major, major throwback. Whilst busy completing my audit project at hospital, there was a festival that was held at Pasir Gudang near to the compound, 10-mins drive journey from hospital. Well that was my first time being at a festival. Hehe will cherish those moments with superb friends at NUMed!

The kites sold at the festival were so expensive that we only sat down on the grass and watched others' flying. lol

Hipsters kinda picture.

Will come again next time and buy my own kite!

P/s: Perhaps spending time to relax and watch sceneries is better than staring at my phone all day long! Healthy life peeps :D

A Hen Named Sprout

Assalamualaikum :)

It is approaching the end of Ramadhan, I am feeling both sad and happy. Sad to feel that this holy month is leaving so soon and happy to feel that I have become a better person after tarbiah insyaAllah.

Last week, the first time that I went to Big Bad Wolf book sale at Ipoh. Wow it was a huge crowd on the first day of its opening! I am not a book-lover as I am too lazy to read (Medical books some more to read meh zzzz it is addictive enough to let me fall asleep). I was walking back and forth the fiction books section but nothing attracted me to even look at it. Lastly, I stopped by this Literature section, I am amazed to see stories about animals! well, not as in comical books but it is a book valuing the life from an animal's point of view.

Too lazy to read that I only managed to read one book. *Sleeps quietly

The one that I picked was 'The Hen Who Dreamed She Could Fly' written by Sun-Mi Hwang, a Korean writer but the piece was translated into several languages: English etc. The story tells about a hen named Sprout that dreams to hatch her own egg without command and plan to escape into the wild world like any other animals, no longer in the barn!

It is an interesting masterpiece I would say! Let me quote this favourite line from the book:
"A few days later, the tree shed its flowers, which flew around like snowflake, leaving behind green leaves. The leaves lived on until late fall before turning yellow and dropping quietly. Sprout was awestruck as she watched the leaves stand strong against rough winds and heavy rain before fading and falling...."

See you on Raya day!

P/s: No baju raya for this year as my tailor could not make it on time. Lol feel like running an amok at her but I reminded myself to sabar sabar :D

To Feel the Life

Assalamualaikum :)

As I walked into the ward the other day, I saw a middle-aged woman laying on the bed, staring at the ceiling bluntly. She was thinking something I assumed. Considering the other patients looked ill to approach, I slowly made my steps forward towards her.

She smiled at me. I started my conversation with her with my format of clerking notes. Name, age occupation, PC, HPC, past medical hx, bla bla bla. Thats the medical side of the conversation. At the end of the session, I asked her ideas, concerns and expectations. This is the format that my uni always thought us to deal with the biophychosocial aspect a person's life. At first, she was reluctant to tell me about her life. But as I talk to her further about her family and social wellbeing, she started to tell little things that her eyes are showing the burden of her life.

I am not good at talking sweet things to people. I listened to her. I kept quiet and just look into her eyes while she was telling her stories. She is a brave and kind lady. Her life might not be as easy as people think. His husband is not working due to bronchial asthma, and she works as a cleaner once a week. She has children to be taken care of. Her sister-in-laws are not in a good relationship with her, and she felt really sad to be treated as a stranger eventhough she had done nothing wrong with others.

Thats is only a part of the story. I have always amazed with the people that I have met to have a great courage and determination to stay strong, whatever life brings you through. I pray that may Allah bless all of you dunya and akhirah, ease your pain and journey, grant your dua with good things in life hereafter insyaAllah.

This is Hosp Batu Gajah, Perak. So original that this building has been there since the Japanese army were here.

Life and Me

Assalamualaikum :)

It's now 8/5/2015 1am and I still can't fall asleep. Jetlagged? Nope. I don't know. Okay I am a bit bored right now so here are some things that I want to note down in my blog. Don't waste your time reading it guys. Haha.

Hx hidup saya yang skema ini.

  • Primary school: Methodist Girls School Ipoh
  • Secondary school: MRSM Gerik Perak (Form 1-3) and MRSM Taiping (Form 4-5)
  • International Baccalaureate at Mara College Banting Selangor
  • Medical School now: Newcastle University of Medicine Malaysia (tak dapat p obersi kat Johor pun jadi la kan) ahahah :D

All I would say is that my school life up until now has been exciting and memorable. Tho ups and downs here and there, friends would come and go now or before, I say Alhamdulillah for this amazing opportunity for meeting amazing people at amazing places at certain points in my life. Be it you are the good side of the bad side, both gives me experiences and lessons to be learnt to build me into a person now.

And I constantly think and question myself, why did I choose to be a doctor? Am I regretting it now? Nope. But I am still struggling and cannot wait to finish my housemanship (ahahah that is way far to go dear). I can say friends at MRSM Taiping really influenced me to choose this path. In other words, I had no idea why I wanted to be a doctor. So I just go with the flow since majority of friends are going for it anyway. Now, I really enjoy being a medical student and have this opportunity to study and learn about this amazing creature called human and Allah's greatest creation. Somehow it reminds me to Him Alhamdulillah.

P/s: Time flies so fast that I have only 1 year to go to graduate! :)
