Assalamualaikum :)
I always wonder how people survived and move on whenever they experience failure. Being a medical student made me wonder and always think, to never look down on others and never expect yourself to be on the top of the world. Sometimes (well everytime), even barely passing an exam is a blessing for us.
Alhamdulillah, with Allah's will and blessing I survived till my third year. Well, not everyone of us passed the final exam. And that makes us medical students. The moment of the results coming out, will decide whether we can proceed to the next stage or repeat the whole year again. For some people, they even consider to change their course and think of other directions. Medicine, oh I wonder why did I chose this path in the first place. But insyaAllah, I will continue my living in this career :)
Back to the topic, I always respect those who survived, picking up their pieces of motivation again to resit/repeat medicine to pursue their lifelong ambition. It is not an easy thing to do as seeing your friends enjoying their summer vacation, you're still struggling with exams and worst case scenario, to repeat the whole year again. Different friends to adapt with, different atmosphere, and having to face another year made the year 5+1. Honestly, that's the challenging part of it.
When I come to think of it, medicine is not the only thing that people face failures. Other people will meet downs and ups somewhere in their lives too. It's just the matter of time and things. Well, the word failure itself shows a negative side of it right? Lets change it to a more positive way of thinking, failure - a turning point to success. Sounds motivating right? :)
InsyaAllah, my friends and I can make it to success. And to other people out there, there are many things to come. Remember to keep calm and pray to Allah.
